The Tulane Green Wave are looking to repeat their success from last offseason in the transfer portal to enhance their receivers room.

The latest addition there comes from an in-state product and another Louisiana school.

Former East St John standout Dontae Fleming has decided to leave Louisiana-Lafayette and join the Green Wave.

The former three-star prospect in the 2020 class signed with the Ragin’ Cajuns and caught 58 passes for 693 yards and six touchdowns in three seasons (34 games played) since his arrival.

Tulane added Notre Dame and former McDonogh 35 speedy receiver Lawrence Keys in the portal last year. Since Deuce Watts has run out of eligibility, Fleming will be in line to fill a vital role in 2023.

Twice tabbed All-District on the football field for at East St. John, Fleming was also All District as a centerfielder for the Wildcats baseball squad.

The 6-foot-1, 168-pound Fleming has explosive speed but is also a meticulous route runner who’s a stickler on his technique. He catches away from his body and has good acceleration out of his cuts.

Fleming has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
