Recruiting: Erath OT Jax Harrington commits to Ragin’ Cajuns

Erath offensive tackle Jax Harrington gave his verbal to the Ragin’ Cajuns coaching staff after considering ofrom Tulane (offered Feb. 27), Louisiana Tech, Cornell, Air Force, Southern Miss, Rice, Kansas and South Alabama.
Harrington made an unofficial stop at Baylor and attended an Ole Miss camp. He was highly coveted by Cajuns head coach Billy Napier and his staff. Harrington credits close bonds with Napier, offensive coordinator Rob Sale, assistant line coach D.J Looney and recruiter Zac Etheridge to lead him to Lafayette for his college years.
The 6-foot-4, 280 pounder runs a 5.23 forty and squats 485 pounds. He demonstrates tremendous explosion off the line with great pad level and good knee bend. Harrington leads downfield on screen plays and throws numerous blocks on a single play when possible. He also throws the shot put in track with a long heave of 48’11” with the 12-pound ball.
