Episcopal’s Austin Sybrandt is an intriguing prospect. He has drawn interest from Ivy League institutions and committed to Davidson awhile back. He recently re-opened process and then pledged this weekend to Tulane.

The Green Wave now has 20 commitments for the 2021 class.

The 6-foot-2, 205-pounder out of Baton Rouge has just scratched the surface of his potential, only having played two seasons of football. Sybrandt flashes interesting skills, lining up at defensive end and outside linebacker.

Able to run a 4.54 and boasting a 34″ vertical jump, he holds a 4.0 GPA with a 28 ACT as well.

Sybrandt locates the ball quickly and processes the play fast. He has a great first step as a pass rusher.

The multi-sport standout also plays outfield in baseball and runs the 55, 60 and 400 meters plus relay teams in track. He looks like he could be ticketed at weakside linebacker on the next level.
