Recruiting: Elinus Noel III of John Curtis commits to Lamar football
John Curtis nose tackle Elinus Noel III gave his commitment Sunday to Lamar.
The 6-foot-1 1/2, 330 pounder is the third pledge for the Cardinals for the 2021 class.

Noel also considered offers from Tulane, Arkansas Monticello, Nicholls, McNeese, South Alabama, Jacksonville State, Grambling, Southern and Chattanooga.
Powerfully built, Noel reportedly bench presses 355 pounds and squats 550. He also holds a 3.85 GPA. Noel moves well in pursuit of the play, jams the middle of the line and shows the ability to be used as a 3 technique. He is dominating and very difficult to move.
In 2019, he recorded 45 tackles with 15 for loss and 7.0 sacks. Noel has served as a backup place kicker during his time at John Curtis.
