Eugene, the dual-threat quarterback for the Wildcats, is projected to play in the secondary on the college level.
The 2023 three-star recruit is the son of Jai Eugene, Sr., who played cornerback for LSU from 2006-2010 after also starring at Destrehan.
The younger Eugene also holds offers from Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Houston, Liberty and Troy.
The 6-foot, 191 pounder piloted the Wildcats last season to the Class 5A semifinals where Destrehan fell to eventual state champion Zachary.
