Recruiting: Covington’s 2018 RB Devin Brumfield commits to Texas Tech

A Covington Lion has decided he intends to roar in the Big XII.

Devin Brumfield committed to Texas Tech via Twitter on Thursday.

The 5-10, 219-pounder is the only current running back committed to the Red Raiders in their 2018 recruiting class. New Orleans area native Jabbar Juluke is the Texas Tech assistant responsible for Brumfield’s recruitment to Lubbock.

Mississippi State, Missouri, Utah and West Virginia as well as Tulane and other in-state schools are among the other suitors for the 3-star Covington star.
