The LSU basketball team added another important pledge.

James Bishop, a 4 star combo guard, gave his verbal to head coach Will Wade. He represents the first pledge for LSU in the upcoming class.

The 6-foot-2, 170 pound lefty out of Mount St. Joseph in Baltimore, Maryland had a host of offers from prominent programs like North Carolina State, Xavier, Seton Hall, Marquette, St. John’s, VCU, Cincinnati, Saint Louis, Kansas State, UMass, Colorado, Tulsa, Va. Tech, LaSalle and St. Joseph’s.

A solid 3 point shooter, Bishop is also a superb ball handler who finds open teammates. He scores off the dribble as well. Although Bishop favors his left hand as a shooter, he can score from either side. He scores in bunches, mainly as a lead guard.

Bishop is a hard worker and good student.
