Brother Martin standout Torey Lambert has committed to Texas State.

The 6-foot, 197 pounder considered offers from Air Force, Austin Peay, Grambling, Southern. Nevada, Memphis, Marshall and ULL. The 2023 recruit also holds a 3.7 GPA.

Lambert has the skills to play on either side of the ball, but he is primarily as running back where he is a game changer. With 4.45 speed in the 40 and 10.7 timing in the 100 meters, he has the explosiveness to take it the distance.

Last season for the Crusaders, Lambert totaled 1,834 yards rushing with a season high 252 yards and three touchdowns against St. Augustine. He earned Class 5A All-State honors for his efforts.

As a runner, Lambert appears to glide almost effortlessly as he leaves defenders in his wake. With an extra gear, he is a very determined runner with outstanding vision. Lambert sees the backside opening and cuts to daylight. He also runs the 300 hurdles for the Crusaders track squad.
