Recruiting: Bonnabel forward Will Allen commits to Louisiana Tech

Bonnabel team captain Will Allen had helped the Bruins capture plenty of wins the past couple of years. Now he looks headed to doing the same for Louisiana Tech’s men basketball program.

The 6-foot-8 forward pledged to the Bulldogs over several other Division I offers Saturday:

Allen is considered one of the top 10 players in Louisiana’s 2021 class.

#7 Will Allen (6’6/PF/ Bonnabel) (AAU- LivOn Fleur De Lis) Allen lead his team to the state championship game this year but they lost a good Alexandria Senior High. Allen’s ability to make the mid and long range shot consistently has added to his stock. The ability to score around the rim with his athleticism might be his best trait to date. The more aggressive he is the better he plays.

Allen was named Class 5A second-team All-State by the Louisiana Sportswriters Association as a junior, averaging 14.6 points per game as the only non-senior to make either the first or second team.
