Jaedon Voisin

The Southeastern Lions always have a spot for a local prospect with great upside within an hour’s drive from campus.

Belle Chasse’s Jaedon Voisin decided Friday to commit to SLU.

The 6-foot-1, 210-pounder with 4.6 speed also squats 405 pounds and dead lifts 415. He has played both running back and linebacker for the Cardinals. Voisin ran for 1,781 yards last season with 18 touchdowns including 327 yards rushing in a single game against Salmen. He is a bruising runner between the tackles.

Southeastern has interest in a couple of Louisiana prep receiver prospects of note. West Jefferson wide receiver Shaun Nicholas (6-4, 185) also has ULM and Jackson State in the picture. Tyreek Robinson (5-9, 165) from Evangel Christian has Central Michigan, Texas State and Southeastern on his radar.
