The West Jefferson product joins McDonogh 35 alum Joe Foucha, a safety, as Razorbacks who have elected to transfer to the Tigers.
The 5-foot-11, 185-pound Brooks totaled 48 total tackles with 2.5 for loss, five pass break ups and an interception in 13 games this past season. He has played in 34 games (30 starts), making 112 total tackles, 12 PBUs, four interceptions and a touchdown.
Brooks brings versatility with experience playing outside corner, nickel and even some snaps as a safety.
As the latest addition this week to LSU’s thin defensive backfield, Brooks joins experienced newcomers Foucha and cornerback Mekhai Garner, who is transferring from UL-Lafayette. The Tigers have lost their top four cornerbacks – Derek Stingley, Eli Ricks, Cordale Flott and Dwight McGlothern – already this offseason.
