Tulane’s 2018 football recruiting class expanded by one with the additional commitment of in-state wide receiver Jorien Vallien from Alexandria Senior High.

The 6-foot-2, 180 pounder drew offers from Colorado State, Texas Tech, Mississippi State, ULL, ULM, La. Tech, Marshall, UMASS, Navy, Vanderbilt and Arizona State. He runs a 4.55 forty with a 34″ vertical. His pledge represents the 17th overall commitment for the Green Wave for 2018.

Vallien snared 63 passes for 1,001 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2016. He holds a 3.5 GPA.

A good route runner with superb hands, Vallien is hard worker. He protects ball from defenders and shows excellent concentration with the ability to catch in a crowd.

D.J. Chark (LSU) is another recent former wide receiver at Alexandria to shine at the college level.
