LSU has added another defensive lineman to their list of 2020 commitments.

Eric Taylor of Hewitt-Trussville in Alabama became the 19th pledge for the Tigers following an official visit to LSU this past weekend with his mother.

The 6-foot-5, 280-pounder turned down Alabama among two dozen programs to become the 19th commitment for LSU’s current class. He made stops at Ga. Tech, Alabama, Florida State and Kentucky. Tigers assistant Dennis ‘Meatball’ Johnson has lead the recruiting charge for Taylor.

The four-star prospect is ranked among the top 25 defensive tackles nationally for 2020.

Taylor had 47 tackles last season with 12 for loss and three sacks. He gets his arms up to swat away passes, makes great penetration, shows great effort and keeps his outside arm free while pursuing sweeps.
