Recruiting: 2022 center Shawn Phillips, Jr. commits to LSU
In another big moment for new LSU head basketball coach Matt McMahon, center Shawn Phillips, Jr. announced his commitment to the Tigers on Tuesday.

Georgetown, Kansas State, NC State, Illinois and more high-major programs offered the Dream City Christian (Ohio) standout. The Arizona native’s pledge fills the final scholarship spot in LSU’s 2022 class.
Phillips, a four-star prospect, reneged on his NC State commit last month following a coaching change.
The 7-0, 250 pounder made an official visit to LSU earlier this month.
