Green Wave are currently riding a six-game winning streak

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University baseball team continued American Athletic Conference play this past weekend at home against Wichita State. The Green Wave captured all three games to sweep the series.

Listed below are some of the key stats and figures from the team’s three games last week.

.600 – Freshman catcher Bennett Lee batted .600, going 6-of-10 at the plate.

.545 – Freshman second baseman Chase Engelhard posted a .545 batting average.

.216 – Tulane pitching held Wichita State to just a .216 batting average. The Shockers came into the series with a .286 batting average.

31 – Tulane pitchers struck out 31 WSU batters this past weekend.

17 – The Green Wave now have 17 wins on the year.

13 – Tulane freshmen had 13 of the Green Wave’s 24 hits last week.

13 – Sophomore Collin Burns extended his team-best hitting streak to 13 games.

10 – Braden Olthoff struck out 10 batters in his game one win on Friday, April 16th.

7 – Wichita State entered the weekend series with Tulane on a seven-game winning streak, but left town on a three-game losing streak.
