Rain wreaks havoc with local baseball schedule Thursday

Virtually every game in the metro New Orleans area and many beyond were rained out Thursday.

One game that was played saw Archbishop Hannan pick up its first win, winning on the road with a 13-2 victory over Newman.

In the Trey Altick Tournament in north Louisiana, Neville defeated East St. John 15-4, Sterlington used a walk-off RBI single to edge Loranger 7-6 and West Ouachita defeated John Curtis Christian 6-2 while Parkway rallied late to hand Archbishop Rummel its first loss as the Panthers won 6-4.

John Curtis, St. Charles Catholic, St. Thomas Aquinas, Holy Cross and Archbishop Rummel are in action in the tournament today.
