NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Privateers (2-9, 1-1) got out to a lightning quick start and never relented in a 60-46 victory over the Lamar Cardinals (7-6, 1-1) on Thursday evening at the Lakefront Arena.

The Privateers came out on fire and never relented. Hennessey Luu-Brown’s offense and great ball movement keyed a lead that kept expanding by the minute. New Orleans opened the game on a 19-3 run in the first eight minutes of play.

New Orleans led 36-15 going into the locker room. Luu-Brown ended the first half with 20 points, three rebounds and two assists. She finished with 27 points, smashing her previous high as a Privateer (12 at Wichita State). Her collegiate career-high was 19 at Salt Lake CC.
