New Orleans – The New Orleans Jesters take on Florida Roots SC on Saturday night at Pan American Stadium in the NPSL Gulf Coast Conference regular season finale.

The Jesters have clinched a berth in the postseason but Saturday’s match will determine who the Jesters face in the semifinal round next Wednesday night.

Head coach Kenny Farrell is looking forward to the challenge,

“We have dealt with serious injuries but have handled the adversity very well to position ourselves for the playoffs. The local players’ contributions have been amazing and I am looking forward to the upcoming week with our last regular season game on Saturday and then our first playoff game on Wednesday.”

The Jesters enter the game in fourth place in the Gulf Coast standings three points behind Pensacola FC. With a win versus Florida Roots the Jesters would move level with Pensacola but would gain the #3 seed based on NPSL playoff tiebreakers.

If the Jesters finish third they will advance to play the #2 seeded Southern States SC in Hattiesburg MS on Wednesday evening. If the Jesters finish fourth they will have to travel to Jacksonville FL to face the top seeded Jacksonville Armada.

The Roots have a chance to finish fifth with a win on Saturday. New Orleans defeated Florida 2-0 in the first meeting of the season between the Clubs back on June 2.

Tickets for the match are available for $10, www.nolajesters.com.
