Pitt’s Ryan Murphy to join Tulane as grad transfer
Ryan Murphy, a 6-foot-2 guard who played last season for the University of Pittsburgh, is headed to the Tulane men’s basketball program as a graduate transfer.
Murphy confirmed the decision earlier this week via Twitter.

In one season with Pitt, Murphy made 12 starts and averaged 7.6 points per game, hitting 42 of 127 three-pointers. He had a career-high 28 points in an early-season matchup with Nicholls.
Tulane will be the fourth school for Murphy, who originally signed with Charlotte out of Calabasas (California) High School. After averaging 6.7 points as a freshman, he transferred to New Mexico Junior College, where he ended up ranked the No. 41 JUCO player in the country by 247 Sports and averaged 18.5 points in 13 games.
