Trajan Langdon

The New Orleans Pelicans have made major front office changes this offseason. The latest has Executive Vice President David Griffin finding a new general manager to aid in his team-building efforts.

As first reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Pelicans have agreed to a deal to have former Brooklyn Nets assistant GM Trajan Langdon take over the title previously held for most of the last decade in New Orleans by Dell Demps.

Langdon, a former sharp-shooting guard who played at Duke before spending three seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers and another near decade starring in Europe, spent the last three seasons working for the Nets. Prior to Brooklyn, the 43-year old Alaska native worked as a scout for the San Antonio Spurs.

Noted in the NBA for his acumen in scouting and analytics, Langdon will work with Griffin in efforts to build a consistent winner.
