Dyson Daniels

The New Orleans Pelicans have added an international standout with their NBA Draft lottery pick.

With the pick acquired from the Los Angeles Lakers from the Anthony Davis trade, the Pels took G League Ignite’s Dyson Daniels.

The 6-foot-8 Australian shot 44.9 percent from behind the arc, 25.5 percent from deep and 73.7 percent from the free-throw line this past season, his first in the States.

Daniels is an unselfish player who shows the ability to find open teammates and perform well defensively for a 19-year old prospect. He sports great length with a nearly 7-foot wingspan although he is not an overly explosive player. His shooting is a work in progress but Daniels did show signs of improvement in technique during this past season and the pre-draft process.

New Orleans has a deep and full roster so Daniels can be integrated slowly as a rookie.
