Pelicans assign E.J. Liddell to G League Squadron

NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that forward E.J. Liddell has been assigned to the Birmingham Squadron, the team’s NBA G League affiliate.

Liddell, 6-6, 242, who was selected by New Orleans with the 41st overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft out of The Ohio State University, missed the entire 2022-23 campaign due to a torn ACL in his right knee. Liddell has appeared in three games for the Pelicans this season and is averaging 1.3 points and 0.7 rebounds in 2.9 minutes per game.

Liddell will be available for the Squadron’s season-opener Friday night against the Austin Spurs.
