The 6-foot-6, 215-pound Plowden played for the Pelicans’ Las Vegas Summer League squad, averaging 16 minutes per game. The 23-year-old averaged 12 points per game, 64.7% from the field and 50% from three-point range.
A five-year college player at Bowling Green, Plowden was a three-time All-MAC selection and named to the league’s all-defensive team this past season. He averaged 15.7 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game and shot 35% behind the arc in 2021-22.
Exhibit 10 deals are non-guaranteed contracts at minimum potential salary but Plowden would receive a $50,000 bnus if ends up with the Pelicans’ G-League farm club in Birmingham.
New Orleans has already signed former NC State star Dereon Seabron to one of their two available two-way contracts.
