Peck’s Seafood downs STA (Ken Trahan)

Northshore-based Peck’s Seafood downed St. Thomas Aquinas 8-4 in Crescent City Sports Prep Summer League play Thursday.

The Falcons jumped out to a 3-0 lead with three runs in the bottom of the fourth when Peck’s Seafood awakened, scoring five runs in the fifth, two in the sixth and one run in the seventh inning. STA scored its final run in the bottom of the seventh.

Hayden Wingrave had a double and three RBI, Ethan Freeman had two hits and an RBI, Jake Gifford had a hit and two RBI, Brody Dukes had two hits and an RBI and Carson Malasovich had two hits and scored a run for the Panthers. Gifford picked up the win in relief.

Seth Tallo had two RBI for St. Thomas Aquinas while Brock Baudean had a hit, an RBI and walked twice. Baudean was the losing pitcher in relief.
