P.J. Williams named NFC Defensive Player of the Week
P.J. Williams had several highs and lows throughout the Saints’ win at Minnesota last week. The highs were greater for him and the team.
The New Orleans cornerback forced a crucial fumble and ran back an interception for a touchdown, earning NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors for is efforts in the 30-20 win over the Vikings.
Williams, the top slot cornerback option for the Saints since the loss of Patrick Robinson to a broken ankle, is the second New Orleans defensive player to win the honor this season joining linebacker Demario Davis.
