LSU quarterback Myles Brennan is doubtful to play this weekend against No. 10 Florida, head coach Ed Orgeron said Wednesday morning.

UPDATE: LSU-Florida has been postponed to Dec. 12 due to Gators program COVID-19 issues. Florida suspended all athletic activity Tuesday following a COVID-19 outbreak including at least 19 positive tests on the football team.

During the weekly SEC coaches conference call, Orgeron said that Brennan is “pretty bruised up” from the Missouri game last week. Specifically, a hit the redshirt junior took on his left non-throwing shoulder from safety Tyree Gillespie on a run inside the five-yard line in the first quarter left the starter “pretty bruised up,” Orgeron said.

If LSU-Florida had taken place this weekend, the Tigers were potentially faced with having to turn to a pair of true freshmen quarterbacks – Max Johnson and TJ Finley. Neither has taken a college snap.
