NSU’s Sharp shoots his way to fourth Southland Men’s Basketball Player of the Week accolade

FRISCO, Texas – Northwestern State’s DeMarcus Sharp averaged 28 points per game to win his fourth Southland Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week award of the season, which was announced Monday by the conference office.

Player of the Week: DeMarcus Sharp, Northwestern State – Guard – Senior – Charleston, Mo. (Charleston HS)
Sharp averaged 28.0 points, 5.0 assists, 4.5 rebounds, 2.0 blocks, and 1.5 steals per game for the Demons last week. He had 13 of his 16 points in the second half of Thursday’s win at UIW as the Demons erase a three-point halftime deficit. On Saturday, he hit all 13 of his second-half free throws and 16 of 17 overall as part of a 40-point performance in a de facto regular-season title-game loss to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
