NPSL releases schedule for Jesters U-19 pilot

New Orleans, LA. The New Orleans Jesters kick off their U-19 campaign on the road on September 12 with a match versus Southern States SC. The Jesters first home game is on Sunday, September 27 with a 4 PM match versus Penasacola FC; the game will be played at Pan American Stadium.

“It’s tremendous to have the NPSL invest in something that has so much potential, and that’s directed at local players to help them progress through to their senior teams”, said New Orleans Jesters Director of Soccer Kenny Farrell.

“This U-19 pilot shows the NPSL’s commitment to player development by providing a new platform that will allow the best players to develop and move on to the top professional leagues.”

The U-19 pilot features an eight game schedule with each team playing a home and away series versus the other pilot teams. The participating teams for the inaugural season are AFC Mobile, New Orleans Jesters, Southern States Soccer, Pensacola FC, and Port City FC.

All the New Orleans Jesters U-19 home matches will be played at Pan American Stadium, there is no charge for admission.

The NPSL U-19 Pilot-League

The U-19 Pilot League is governed by the National Premier Soccer League and is affiliated with the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).

The league will run from September through November. Each team will play a total of eight games, four home and four away. The gameday roster will consist of U-17, U-18, and U-19 players along with up to three overage players. More information will be released on NPSL.com in the coming weeks. A spring season is also being planned.
