Northwestern State to visit Tulsa in football during 2024 season
The Northwestern State Demons have secured a trip to Tulsa for their 2024 football schedule, FBSchedules.com reports.
Tulsa was previously scheduled to host the Demons in 2020 but the game was scratched due to COVID-19 pandemic.
The Golden Hurricane will now host NSU at Skelly Field at H.A. Chapman Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2024, according to a copy of the contract amendment obtained from Northwestern State University by FBSSchedules via a state public records request.
Tulsa defeated Northwestern State, 26-19, back in 1983 in the only previous meeting between the programs. At the time, the Golden Hurricane was amember of Division 1-A (now known as FBS) but played in the Missouri Valley Conference when it was a mix of NCAA Division I-A and I-AA (now FCS) programs. NSU has never been on a level higher than the FCS.
