Northshore elevates Jay Hodges to head baseball coach

Jay Hodges to has been named the head baseball coach at Northshore High School.

Northshore principal Bill Gallagher confimed the move Friday to Crescent City Sports.

Hodges had been serving as the program’s top assistant to Brady Benoit, who left Northshore recently to become head coach at Mandeville.

Overall, Hodges has 12 years of experience as a Louisiana high school baseball head coach.

After playing at Nicholls State, Hodges served as a student assistant for the Colonels in 1989. He also spent 1998-2000 as an associate scout for the Montreal Expos.
