No change at top of Louisiana boys soccer rankings

Once again, Jesuit, Holy Cross, Lusher Charter and Episcopal of Acadiana remain the top-ranked teams in the new Louisiana High School Soccer Coaches Association rankings for the week of Monday, Jan. 18 through Sunday, Jan. 24.

Jesuit remains on top in Division I, garnering seven first place votes. Catholic of Baton Rouge received the other three first-place votes and is second with St. Paul’s third. Denham Springs is fourth and Captain Shreve is fifth. Brother Martin is ninth with Mandeville tenth.

Holy Cross is No. 1 in Division II with Ben Franklin second. St. Thomas More is third with Benton fourth and East Jefferson fifth. Bonnabel is seventh with Belle Chasse tenth.

Lusher Charter is still on top in Division III with the Lions getting seven first-place votes. University Lab is second with two first-place votes. Loyola Prep is third with Parkview Baptist fourth and E.D. White Catholic is No. 5.

Episcopal of Acadiana received six first-place votes and is No. 1 in Division IV. Pope John Paul II got two first-place votes and is second with Northlake Christian third, Episcopal fourth and Newman at No. 5. Country Day is eighth with St. Thomas Aquinas ninth.
