Kansas City, Mo. – The No. 2 ranked LSUA men’s basketball team learned its path back to the NAIA National Championship Game as the 2019 NAIA Division I Men’s Basketball National Championship Tournament bracket was released on Wednesday afternoon.

The Generals (28-3, 17-1 RRAC) are making their fifth straight appearance in the national championship tournament, earning an at-large bid. LSUA was the No. 1 ranked team in most of the polls during the 2018-19 regular season.

After advancing out of the Naismith Bracket to the Fab Four in both of the last two seasons, LSUA was named the one-seed in the Liston Bracket for this season’s edition of the NAIA Tournament and will draw Central Baptist College in the first round.

The Mustangs (22-10, 12-10 AMC) stunned the American Midwest Conference field by entering the postseason tournament as the fifth seed in the eight-team tournament and won three straight road games to steal the AMC’s tournament automatic bid. CBC is the Liston Bracket’s eight-seed and received votes in the final NAIA Top 25 Coaches’ Poll of the regular season.

Tip-off between the #2 Generals and Central Baptist is set for 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 20th in the Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo.
