TUCSON, Ariz. – The No. 19-ranked Arizona Wildcats used a consistent offensive attack on the way to a 14-2 win Sunday in the series finale against Southeastern Louisiana at Hi Corbett Field.

Arizona (6-2) scored in six consecutive innings off five different Lions pitchers.

With one out, second baseman Champ Artigues was hit by a pitch. He advanced to second base on a wild pitch and was balked to third by Wildcat starting pitcher TJ Nichols (2-0). Jacob Burke drove Artigues in with a two-out single to right field.

SLU (3-4) added their final run in the ninth.

Reliever George Arias Jr. hit pinch hitter Nathan Tribble with a pitch before issuing back-to-back walks to Trey Harrington and Cade Scott. Artigues plated Tribble with a one-out single.

Nichols earned the win, allowing one run in six innings pitched. The freshman right-hander scattered three hits and two walks, striking out six. Lion starting pitcher Grant Upton (1-1), who left the game in the third inning with an injury, was tagged with the loss.
