Nine John Curtis athletes ink letters of intent on open of early signing period

It was a banner day at John Curtis Christian School as nine student-athletes signed letters of intent to continue their playing careers at the next level.

Alyssa Dean signed to play softball at Memphis while Peyton Picou and Courtney Vidrine signed with Vernon College.

In girls basketball, Tulane coach Lisa Stockton landed a prized player in Curtis guard Dynah Jones. Alyssa Dean signed with Memphis and Alaan West signed with Limestone College.

Among baseball players, Ian Landreneau, who pitched a no-hitter in the state championship game, signed with Gulf Coast Community College.

Logan Stevens inked with Trent Jewett and Tulane while LSU coach Paul Mainieri landed a pair of stars in Cade Beloso and Will Rippoll.
