THIBODAUX, La. — Due to the Paul Quinn College men’s basketball program entering COVID-19 protocol, the Nicholls State University Athletics Department has officially canceled the back-to-back Dec. 27 & 28 home contests against the Tigers.

The recently scheduled matchups were slated to serve as the Colonels’ first pair of hone games this season after the program was forced to cancel three home contests earlier this month due to the same NCAA restrictions.

The Red & Gray are set to return to action against league foe Sam Houston State on Saturday, Jan. 2 in what-is-now the team’s conference and home-opening contest, tip scheduled for 5 p.m. at Stopher Gym. The game is part of the Colonel men’s/women’s doubleheader on ESPN3.
