NFL approves use of replay review for pass interference
— NFL Football Operations (@NFLFootballOps) June 20, 2019
The NFL Competition Committee has unanimously approved the rule change first discussed in March to allow foe the use of instant replay to apply or negate pass interference calls for the 2019 season.
The changes include the requirement of “clear and obvious visual evidence” that would lead to pass interference being applied on a play when it was not called or negated when it was called incorrectly by on-field officials.
Saints fans know very well why this change has been implemented. There is also no guarantee that the new rules will be kept beyond the upcoming season, according to the league.
