Former LSU edge rusher Arden Key, the topic of conversation among draft analysts recently, has met with the Saints a number of times. He also also had a couple of face-to-face with the 49ers.

Leading up to the 2018 NFL Draft in less than two weeks, Key has scheduled meetings with Redskins (13th, 44th overall picks), the Titans (25th, 57th), Bears (8th, 39th) and Cowboys (19th, 50th).

Once considered a consensus top 10 overall choice, Key now must continue to sell NFL teams on his maturity and commitment to football. He is likely going to be a second round pick on potential alone.

Former 49ers safety Eric Reid is still looking for a home in NFL free agency. The 26 year old LSU product was played in 57 NFL games for San Francisco with 251 tackles and 10 interceptions.

Taking a leading role in the national anthem protests appears to be a big reason -if not the primary one – why Reid is still on the open market.

Former Tulane running back Orleans Darkwa signed with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent, but he has spent his entire four-year career with the Giants. Darkwa has tallied 1,038 yards and nine touchdowns, adding 29 catches as a consistently productive player.

Darkwa visited the New England Patriots recently. One would think he will find a home again in the league.
