Newman-Catholic game to air on WGSO 990AM and WGSO.com as part of The Original

The official Newman broadcast of the Greenies Division III semifinal football state playoff game against Catholic of New Iberia Friday at 7 p.m. at Lupin Field will air on WGSO 990AM and at WGSO.com as part of Ken Trahan’s Original Prep Football Report.

Ken Trahan will handle play-by-play duties while former Isidore Newman star Ronnie Lamarque, Class of 2015, will provide analysis.

The game broadcast is presented by Lamarque Ford in Kenner.

Coverage begins with Countdown to The Original at 6:05 p.m. with previews of other top playoff games from around the state. The pre-game show begins at 6:45, followed by the game broadcast. A complete scoreboard update from CrescentCitySports.com of all playoff games will take place at the end of the first and third quarters with reports from all other playoff games at halftime.

Immediately following the game, The Original continues with reports from all other playoff games, as well as analysis from around the state.

At 11 p.m., you can listen to Friday Night Football from NOLA 38 with Ed Daniels and J.T. Curtis to complete the six hours of comprehensive coverage.
