New Orleans again top-rated market for Sunday Night Football
(Edited from NBC news release)
Sunday Night Football on NBC is expected to be the top-rated primetime show for a record 12th consecutive year, and again this year, New Orleans has played a big part.
For the fifth consecutive year, and eighth time (2010, 2011 and 2013) in 13 seasons, New Orleans was the top-rated SNF market. Milwaukee was the top-rated SNF market in 2017 and 2012, while Denver ranked #1 for three consecutive seasons from 2014-16.
New Orleans, through the Week 17 game, averaged a 20.2 rating and 32 share. One rating point equals one percent of homes with televisions in the market, while a share point is one percent of TVs in use.
Making the statistic all the more notable is that the Saints did not appear on Sunday Night Football in 2022.
