Louisiana will be well represented in the NCAA softball tournament.

The bracket unveiled Sunday night has three schools from Louisiana in the 64-team field, one of which will play regionals at home.

LSU (40-16) is the No. 10 national seed hosting a regional in Baton Rouge. The Tigers will meet Monmouth (36-16) at 4:30 p.m. Friday. Texas Tech (39-14) will face Conference USA tournament champion Louisiana Tech (44-14) in the first game of the regional at 2 p.m.

Sun Belt champion UL Lafayette (50-4) is headed to Oxford, Mississippi, where Ole Miss (37-17) is the host and No. 11 national seed. The Lady Cajuns open with Southeast Missouri on Friday.

The LSU regional is paired with the Minnesota regional, where the No. 7 seed Golden Gophers would host. The Ole Miss regional is paired with the Arizona regional.

The tragedy-to-triumph story of LA Tech, which had its home facility destroyed by the F-3 tornado that hit Ruston last month, was featured in the ESPN telecast of the bracket announcement.
