NASH ICON 106.1 FM to air four state title games as part of official LHSAA game broadcasts via Crescent City Sports

Caesars Superdome

The official LHSAA audio broadcasts of all eight state football championship games from the Ceasars Superdome this Thursday through Saturday will be provided by Crescent City Sports.

Lenny Vangilder, Ro Brown, Matt Sims, Emmanuel Pepis, V.K. Jones, and Johnny Marchese will handle broadcasting duties on the four web streams through Crescent City Sports.

The four games featuring metro area teams can also be heard as part of the extensive state championship coverage at NASH ICON 106.1 FM and NASHFM1061.com. Ken Trahan of Cumulus New Orleans and Crescent City Sports will have the call of all four title tilts.

On Friday, December 9 at 3:15 p.m., tune in as the St. Charles Catholic Comets face the Dunham Tigers in the Select Division III state championship contest. Nelson Stewart of Newman High School and Emmanuel Pepis of NASH ICON 106.1 FM/Crescent City Sports will provide analysis.

Ken Trahan’s Original Prep Football Report will follow the St. Charles-Dunham contest on NASH ICON 106.1 FM before the live broadcast of the Non-Select Division I title game slated for 7 p.m. featuring Destrehan and Ruston. Edna Karr High School coach Brice Brown, Willie Brooks and Benny Jones join Trahan as analysts.

On Saturday, December 10, The Three Tailgaters Show with Ken Trahan and Ed Daniels airs live from the Caesars Superdome at 10 a.m. on NASH ICON 106.1 FM.

Immediately following the Tailgaters at 11:45 a.m., the live broadcast of the Non-Select Division II state championship game pitting Lutcher against North DeSoto begins with the pregame show. Trahan will be joined by Brown, Brooks and Eric Brown of Crescent City Sports.

At 7 p.m., the Select Division I state championship game featuring Brother Martin and John Curtis Christian caps the 106.1 FM coverage. Trahan, Chad Larose, Leni Sumich and Eric Held will provide the play-by-play and commentary.
