NAIA men’s and women’s first and second rounds in The Den are set
For the second straight year, the road to the final site of the NAIA National Championship runs through Uptown, New Orleans
NEW ORLEANS – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced its 16 hosts last week for each of the 2023 NAIA Men’s and Women’s Basketball National Championship First & Second Rounds, presented by Ballogy, and for the second consecutive year, Loyola will host both the men’s and women’s tournaments.
This year, all six games will take place at Loyola’s University Sports Complex, “The Den,” and the tournaments are set to begin Tuesday afternoon and run through Wednesday evening.
On Thursday, the NAIA announced the field of the National Championship, labeling the women’s team as a No. 4 seed and the men’s a No. 3 seed. Joining the Wolf Pack on their quest to advance to the final site of the national tournament are women’s teams No. 5-seed Cumberlands (Ky.), No. 12-seed Midway (Ky.) and No. 13-seed John Brown (Ark.), and No. 6-seed Tougaloo (Miss.), No. 11-seed Texas A&M-Texarkana and No. 14-seed SAGU (Texas) on the men’s side.
The defending NAIA National Champions and 19-ranked ranked Wolf Pack men’s team (24-6) swept both the Southern States Athletic Conference regular-season and tournament championships, and the ninth-ranked women’s team (27-2) easily won the regular-season title before losing in the tournament championship.

TICKET INFORMATION

Tuesday’s games will be split into two sessions and will allow fans the opportunity to view more than one game. The 1:00/3:00 PM games will be sold as one ticket option and the 5:30/7:30 games will be sold as another ticket option. Please make sure to check the game times listed on the ticket option before purchasing.
In accordance with NAIA regulations, there are no pass lists for the Opening Round. The chief executive officers of the participating institutions are provided two complimentary tickets to each game. No other complimentary tickets should be issued to either participating institution. NAIA members shall receive one complimentary ticket upon presentation of the NAIA card and appropriate identification. All cards are non-transferable.
