Both teams received visits but only one could win the favor of former Pro Bowl defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson.

As first reported by ESPN’s Rob Demovsky, the ex-New York Jets standout agreed to terms with Green Bay, free agent winners of a second high-profile free agent who the Saints also pursued. Tight end Jimmy Graham, like Wilkerson, agreed to terms with Green Bay on Tuesday.

Wilkerson, who visited New Orleans and Green Bay, was scheduled to meet with the Washington Redskins before deciding instead to join the Packers.

Mike Pettine, the new Packers defensive coordinator. served in the same capacity for the Jets from 2009 to 2012 and coached Wilkerson during his first two NFL seasons.
