Men’s Basketball: Loyd, Mart earn GCAC end-of-season awards for 2018-19

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Xavier University of Louisiana’s William Loyd and Rayshawn Mart received 2018-19 men’s basketball end-of-season awards Thursday from the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference.

Loyd and Mart both were chosen second-team All-GCAC, and Loyd was named to the All-Defensive team.

Awards were presented at a banquet on the eve of the GCAC Tournament for men and women. XULA’s Gold Rush (17-13) are fourth-seeded and will play fifth-seeded Philander Smith (11-18) at 11 a.m. EST Friday.
