McDonogh 35’s Steveland Williams named Metro Prep Player of the Week

McDonogh 35 senior running Steveland Williams has been selected as the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl Greater New Orleans Quarterback Club, 106.1 FM NASH ICON, and Friday Night Football Prep Player of the Week for Week 12 of the prep football season.

A senior, Williams carried 28 times for 278 yards and a touchdown as McDonogh 35 defeated Lake Charles College Prep 22-14 in the second round of the Class 3A state playoffs.

Williams is coached by Wayne Reese. He will be honored at the year-end meeting of the Greater New Orleans Quarterback Club on Dec. 17 at Rock’n’Bowl at 3016 South Carrollton Avenue in New Orleans.
