The Class 4A playoff game between 10th-seeded McDonogh 35 and 23rd-seed Minden is now set for Friday night at 7 p.m. at Joe Yenni Stadium in Metairie.

The Roneagles use Pan American Stadium and Tad Gormley Stadium as their home fields but both were booked for Friday night.

Warren Easton won a coin flip with McDonogh 35 for the use of Pan American Stadium and the fourth-seeded Eagles will host 29th-seed Carencro at 7 p.m. Friday while in Division I, fifth-seed St. Augustine will host 12th-seeded Jesuit in a Catholic League rematch at Tad Gormley Stadium Friday night at 7 p.m.

“We wanted to play on Friday night, it was that simple,” said McDonogh 35 head coach Wayne Reese. “We are not used to playing on Saturday and we didn’t want to play then or on Thursday. Joe Yenni is a good playing field and stadium and we have played in the playoffs there before so we were glad it was available.”

No Jefferson Parish school from the East Bank is at home in the playoffs this Friday night, making Joe Yenni available to Reese and his Roneagles.
