Kayshon Boutte

The news does not get any better for LSU.

Sophomore wide receiver Kayshon Boutte will miss the rest of the season with an injury, head coach Ed Orgeron confirmed Monday at his weekly press conference.

Boutte suffered the unspecified injury in the second half of the Tigers’ 42-21 loss Saturday night at Kentucky. The Westgate High product left the sidelines on a cart.

The star’s season ends with 38 receptions for 509 yards and a FBS-best nine touchdowns in six games.

Orgeron also said defensive end Ali Gaye, who missed two games earlier this season due to injury, will not play this weekend.

LSU (3-3, 1-2 in SEC) hosts Florida (4-2, 2-2) this Saturday at 11 a.m.
