Andre Carter

Both the LSU Tigers and Cincinnati Bengals may have the same candidate in mind to fill the position of defensive line coach.

Multiple sources have reported that former 13-year NFL veteran Andre Carter has spoken with the Bengals and is set to sit down with Ed Orgeron very soon.

The former assistant defensive line coach for the Miami Dolphins (2017-’18) was the defensive line coach for the New York Jets the past two years (2019-’20).

Carter, a first round choice of the San Francisco 49ers in 2001 following an All American career at Cal, was Pro Bowl selection while with the Patriots in 2011. He totaled 517 career tackles, 80.5 sacks and 18 forced fumbles, lining up as an outside linebacker in a 3-4 alignment.

His father Rubin Carter played defensive tackle for the Denver Broncos from 1975-’86.
