LSU Recruiting: Surtain Jr. names Tigers in top six, Joseph pulls back from commitment
Class of 2018 cornerback Patrick Surtain Jr. has named his top six which includes LSU, Florida, Clemson. Fla. State, Ohio State and Alabama. The Tigers look to be the odds on favorite for the 6-foot-2, 180 pound son of former Edna Karr and NFL standout Patrick Surtain Sr.
More good news in the Tigers’ recruiting came the way of center Cole Smith (6-3, 270), a 4 star commitment who received his Under Armour Jersey Monday. He will participate in the national all-star contest in January ’18.
All is not good news fo the Purple and Gold on the trail though. Nadab Joseph, a 4 star 2018 cornerback who had committed to LSU last spring, pulled his pledge and re-opened up the recruiting process. However, the 6-foot-1, 180 pounder from Miami Edison High School did not eliminate the Tigers from further consideration.
