LSU QB Walker Howard to enter transfer portal

LSU freshman quarterback Walker Howard has decided to enter the NCAA transfer portal, multiple outlets reported Wednesday.

Having just completed his first college season, Howard has played one regular season game in mop up duty against Southern. The former St. Thomas More standout played late in the Cheez-it Citrus Bowl against Purdue, comleting 2-of-4 passes for 7 yards.

Jayden Daniels and Garrett Nussmeier are the top two quarterbacks on LSU’s depth chart while 2023 signee Rickie Collins out of Woodlawn-Baton Rouge is an early graduate who will also participate in spring practices for the Tigers.
